3 month old loves this tub

We were having difficulty figuring out the best bathing arrangement for our new little guy as nothing seemed to be working for either him or us. He definitely did not like laying back in the Mother’s Touch Deluxe Baby Bather, so I started getting in the bathtub with him, however, he soon began to squirm way too much. I didn’t have any way to wash him as both hands were occupied holding him. I read about the Spa Baby in a magazine and did some research finding lots of positive reviews, so I figured I had nothing to lose by ordering one. Plus, I was very happy to find an eco-friendly product to try.

Our three month old loved it as soon as I put him in the Spa Baby Eco! Although it does seem like anything more than a fancy bucket, I feel it is worth the money since he is happy, it makes bathing much easier for us, and is eco-friendly (not only the material, but very little water is used). I find it works best to put the Spa Baby on the counter in the bathroom, although you can easily put it wherever you want. I highly recommend this product.

Great bathtub

This bathtub made my newborn feel good. A rabid bat got into our house and fell into our Spa Baby so we replaced it with a similar tub by a different brand. The spa baby tub is superior because the diameter is smaller and baby liked it better. I wish we would have just got another spa baby because Lula never cried in it ever. The only downside is that there are ridges that you have to be careful around. You can see the divets the rim has in the product picture. Without these the tub is five star all the way.

If you are purchasing this to read on Kindle, don’t! About 50% in the book is in what I can only imagine is a .pdf. Therefore, for all of the interviews, the type is very small and faint. Changing the text size does not alter this fact. I just want to warn anyone who might be thinking of purchasing this to read on Kindle. It is a waste of money.

Ugh.

I thought this was written with a VERY heavy hand, and it just wasn’t what I was expecting. They really don’t give many secrets that are useful to an average pregnant woman, instead focusing on how cute it is that celebrities spend major bucks on everything to make their pregnancy and birth the best it can be. I understood there would be some of that, but UGH. It got old, and the fake chatty nature of the writing was just too much for me.

This book is dangerous–they recommend Accutane and “detoxing” to pregnant women!

The tips in this book consist of shameless product plugs, there are tons of references to “detoxing” even though that’s total bunk according to any reputable doctor, and nobody bothered to check if it’s ok to use Accutane (isotretinoin) during pregnancy, obviously, because they suggest asking your doctor about it if you have acne. I’ve taken Accutane, and it’s so dangerous for pregnant women that they make you sign a contract monthly promising to use two forms of birth control, you have to take a monthly quiz reiterating that you know it’s dangerous for fetuses, and you have to take a monthly pregnancy test to get your prescription. Sadly, somebody could read this book and get Accutane online without seeing a doctor and put their baby at risk for serious birth defects, as in “hearing and visual impairment, missing or malformed earlobes, facial dysmorphism, and mental retardation” according to Wikipedia. This book is a waste of money at best, and quite dangerous if you follow their advice.

better than baby nail clippers

I rely heavily on reviews to make purchasing decisions so wanted to review this product. This is definitely worth getting. You won’t be nervous about accidentally cutting your baby while trimming his or her nails. This allows you control over cutting and I think you would have to try pretty hard to accidentally cut your baby while using these. The magnifier is not really useful unless you have a second person holding the magnifier over the baby’s hands while you trim. I was a bit dissapointed that I didn’t get the baby scissors that has the file but a reviewer mentioned that it doesn’t work so these or ones without the magnifier are just fine. Definitely worth the $10 or so. Another product I would recommend would be the baby nose tweezers for pulling out hard snot. Hope this review helps.

Nice items

I received this as a gift. I love the storage bag it comes with. And good to know I have all these items when they are needed. The nail clippers are so much better than the other 2 pairs of baby clippers I owned before getting this. They are easy to hold and use. I have used and like the hairbrush too. I haven’t used the nose bulb yet because I already had one from the hospital. The medicine dispenser with the nipple looks like a good idea but haven’t used it either yet because my baby doesn’t like bottles yet and hasn’t needed meds. I am glad it has a baby toothbrush that will come in handy later on. I am glad I received this item.

Lousy pouch is the first thing I want to say, un-stackable and inconvenient.
After use i want a magnifier on the nail clipper, thermometer.
Good thing for gifting and casual use, but buy and better thermometer will be required.

Most things are not regularly used/needed in pack.

Best Organic Baby Food by Far

Earth’s Best Baby Food
My favorite brand of baby food by far. Both my son (who is now over 2 years old) and my daughter (now almost one) have used a wide variety of foods from Earth’s Best. I am a huge proponent of feeding children primarily organic and/or locally grown foods to promote proper nutrition and growth. But I do not feel that all organic brands are equal. I’ve tried many varieties (including store brands and others only available through internet purchase) and found that Earth’s Best is by far the best for your money.

We use jar baby food to supplement what we make homemade…sometimes you just need the convenience. Our 8 month old LOVES this. She’ll eat between a half and whole jar in the morning. Earth’s Best is a great brand…organic, no GMO’s…all that good stuff. Every kid is different, but this one is a winner for us.

Great product

Easy to assemble, easy to get on the bed. Fits very well (and we actually have a pillow top mattress that’s a tad taller than the specs they give but it works just fine) and does exactly what they say it does. We use it co-sleeping with a 9 month old to keep her from falling out of the bed.

Great, secure bed rail

I don’t see why others are rating this rail low. I’ve seen other rails and they are cheap and not sturdy compared to this one. It may seem overengineered, but all of its bells and whistles serve a purpose. We use this on a twin bed that does not have a box spring underneath. This rail is meant to slide between a top and bottom mattress, but you can make it work without the box spring. I like that it leaves no gap for the child to fall into and the bars are all padded. It could be a little longer, but no rails are very long. This is one of the longest I’ve found. Overall very sturdy and good quality.

This was exactly what i was looking for. I did alot of research to find exactly the bed rail i wanted and this one one the challenge and i am so glad that i chose it. It is amazing. It does exactly what you expect it to do, its safe secure and baby cant push it down at all. I use it for co sleeping and i couldnt be happier with this product. My son pushes it and bangs on it and cant move it at all… HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!!!!

Best diapers we tried

I always read bad reviews to see if there is something informational there, but bad reviews for Huggies are just as strange as it could get. Diaper is designed to simplify parents life in comparison to regular cloth ones – from 20-30 years ago. But reading bad reviews I could not stop wondering why people are expecting these diapers to absorb unlimited quantity of pee? When you see “crumbs” this is actually a sign that you NEEDED to change this diaper ages ago. These are good diapers, but they need to be changed frequently like all other diapers. The older your kid the more often you need to change him – (s)he pees you know like a big boy or a big girl. These diapers are pretty absorbent, but it does not mean that you need to let your kid explore its capacity every time. In order to allow your kid to go through potty training successfully you still need to change him fairly often to give him a “clean” feeling. On another note accidents still might happen, this is why they are called accidents, and they will happen in any diapers, because kids are moving objects – mine 2-year old does not stop period even for food. Even my boy being so active I can assure that we did not have an accident for very long. Couple leak accidents we had in the beginning when diaper was not put properly due to kid not laying down still even for a second. I have a boy, so I can say these diapers are perfect for very active boys. Instructions are very simple – put diaper on, check how you did it, giggle with your kid when pushing his legs towards his tummy to allow better fit – done.

I now like Huggies again.

I’ve been using both Pampers Swaddlers, generic brands, regular Huggies and Huggies Supreme since my baby was born but now she’s solely on Huggies Supreme. Some generic brands were ok but didn’t absorb as much, or stretch to fit correctly, or ripped, but that’s we expected for the price. Pampers Swaddlers has the weave that sticks to the skin when there was a dirty diaper. Regular Huggies had some crystal like particles that formed on her skin everytime there was a wet diaper. I stopped using Huggies until a friend recommended this when she was 4 months old and was in between sizes. This was the perfect size, no crystals, absorbs well, and is also really soft. Better than expected.

Hands down… the best diapers for us

I have 23 month old twins and over the course of their lives, I feel like I’ve tried just about every brand of diapers out there. We started in Pampers and then when they got about 6 months old, we changed to store-brands, some were okay, some were horrible. However, I noticed about 2-3 months ago that those store brands were always leaking at night. We did try Huggies Overnights, but I found that it’s just a pain to have daytime and nighttime diapers. We tried regular Huggies, but there were still a few leaks.

About a month ago, I exclusively switched to the Huggies Supreme and I am so happy that I did. We now have very few leaks. I have one of each (boy and girl), and the Huggies Supreme works so well on each of them. Yes, they are a little more expensive. With the Amazon subscription, I am paying about 28c a diaper. That’s just about a cent less than Walmart, but I’m not having to lug them home. Having them come to my door is a bigger plus that you might think. Plus, they are just so darn cute. They are very soft and cushy and I just feel good about putting them on my babies (as silly as that may sound).

Causes a rancid smell……………

I was amazed! This product applied super easy (compared to Lansinoh Lanolin) and made my irritated nipples feel better in no time. Absolutely great. Couldn’t have asked for more. However after about 3 days into using this product I started noticing the smell of something rancid like spoiled milk or spit up. I kept checking my daughter, thinking that she’d had some spit up and that the smell might come from her clothing or her bib. No matter how often I sniffed on her I just simply couldn’t find the cause for this horrible smell. And I was so sure I could smell it.
Within the next two days the nasty smell kept intensifying. I would now constantly smell it which was sickening and nauseating. On the 6th day I noticed just that smell coming from myself (the breast area to be specific). I had not worn a bra and pad all morning so I had a little bit of leakage on my shirt. I went to change clothing and when I pulled the shirt over my head I started gagging immediately. The Medela Tender Care Lanolin in combination with the smallest drop of breastmilk causes the rancid smell. Never in my life would I have thought that it could come from myself as I am cleaning my nipples after every pumping or nursing. I immediately stopped using Tender Care Lanolin and it still took about two more days for the smell to fade away.
Also I noticed that my daughter is latching a lot better now. But thinking of it I wouldn’t want to eat neither if I had to put up with this horrid smell in my face during feedings!
I would definitely give it a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for that nasty side effect. Instead I have to give it a 1 star rating as it affected my daughters feeding in a negative way.

Great

I have tried both Medela & Lansinoh lanolin ointments and find the Medela much easier to apply. The Medela is a yellow thinner ointment so it’s easy to squeeze out of the tube and apply, while the Lansinoh is clear but very thick and almost impossible to squeeze out and spread evenly.

Contains c8/c10 which is fat!!!

I got a small sample from the LC and it worked great. I like the smooth silky application which is great in cold weathers. But when I bought a tube of it, I notice a funky smell. I study the ingredients and saw it included C8/C10 Triglycerides which is goat milk oil, palm oil or coconut oil. The goat milk oil gives it s rancid smell which made me and my baby gag! So I only use it for pumping! I would recommend Lansinoh for breastfeeding since it really is 100% pure. Just warm it up by rubbing it between you thumb and finger or in warm water. Also I apply the excess on my lips so I know what it baby is tasting too! Lansinoh does work as a all natural lip balm!

Great Baby Gift

I got two of these for my twin granddaughters. They were beginning to hold things and chew on everything, so these have been great. They can hug them tight and find the tags to put in their mouths. It’s all sewn, so there are no parts to fall off. They’re great in the car seats too. Highly recommend them for six month old babies to get them started on toys.

Awesome baby toy

My daughter has received 2 of this doll as gifts and I kept both! My sister in law recommended and sent some of this brand toy after my niece fell in love with them. The tags on it really do attract their little fingers. The doll itself is soft and lovable. The size is good for even smaller babies, but not too small either.
